My foundation
B.Tech in Computer Science & Engineering at the University of Kashmir.
HELLO WORLD, I'M
I’m a Computer Science & Engineering student at the University of Kashmir, exploring how code, data and artificial intelligence can become useful solutions to real-world problems.
A STUDENT WITH A BUILDER'S MINDSET
I’m Zeeshan — a Computer Science & Engineering student who enjoys exploring the connection between programming, intelligent systems and practical problem-solving.
My current learning journey is centred on Python, machine learning, deep learning and computer vision. I’m interested in understanding how data becomes insight, how models learn patterns, and how an idea can grow into a working application.
I believe strong engineering comes from curiosity, consistency and the willingness to experiment, make mistakes and improve the next version.
B.Tech in Computer Science & Engineering at the University of Kashmir.
Artificial intelligence, machine learning, deep learning and computer vision.
Learn the fundamentals, build practical projects, test ideas and keep improving.
Kashmir, India — connected to a global world of technology and ideas.
These are the technologies and areas I’m learning, practising and using in project work. I value understanding the fundamentals over collecting tool names.
Writing programs, working with data and building the foundation for AI/ML applications.
Exploring data preparation, model training, evaluation and the process of learning from examples.
Working with visual data and exploring image processing, detection and recognition tasks.
Learning neural-network concepts and experimenting with image-focused model architectures.
Interested in turning backend logic and user needs into practical, usable software.
Using a hands-on development workflow to write, run, debug and improve projects.
Skill cards describe areas of practice and interest, not formal proficiency ratings.
Understanding systems that can recognise patterns, support decisions and make complex tasks easier.
Exploring how algorithms learn from data, how performance is measured and how models can be improved.
Interested in responsible AI applications that can assist analysis and make technical tools more accessible.
Building interfaces and workflows that make a technical idea understandable and useful to people.
Projects help me connect concepts with implementation. The descriptions below reflect the work and project information currently available.
An exploration of AI-assisted chest X-ray analysis using the NIH ChestX-ray14 dataset. The work involves preparing image data, exploring disease labels and experimenting with deep-learning approaches for multi-label image classification.
VIEW ON GITHUB ↗A Python and OpenCV project exploring face detection and recognition with a custom dataset and webcam-based interaction. The repository includes scripts for handling faces, training and recognition.
VIEW ON GITHUB ↗An AI-powered legal information assistant concept focused on making legal information easier to explore and understand. A project idea at the intersection of technology and public access to information.
VIEW ON GITHUB ↗A software project centred on organising university information and management workflows. It reflects my interest in building structured applications for everyday needs.
VIEW ON GITHUB ↗An ongoing project exploring deep-learning based detection of brain tumors from MRI scans. This work is still in progress, so no repository link is shared yet.
IN PROGRESS — COMING SOONDefine the problem, identify who it affects and decide what a useful result should look like.
Study the concepts, tools and data needed before choosing an implementation approach.
Break the work into smaller tasks and turn the plan into a working prototype.
Check results, understand failures, refine the solution and document what I learn.
My journey in technology is a continuous process of strengthening fundamentals and applying them through projects.

Exploring how machine learning and image-processing techniques can be applied to real datasets.Competition recognition, plus certificates from Google, Tech Mahindra Foundation and Simplilearn.
Details are in the Achievements & Certifications section.A record of the hackathon placing and certificates I have earned while building my foundation in AI and software.
Placed as 2nd Runner-Up at Synertech 2026, a competition where an idea has to become a working prototype within a short deadline.
Foundational training on Google's Generative AI Studio, a workspace for trying out and refining generative AI prompts.
Certificate of Participation in a cybersecurity programme run by Tech Mahindra Foundation, adding a security mindset to my software learning.
A learning programme on the machine learning workflow with Python, from preparing data to training and evaluating models.
Certificate of participation in the NIELET AI Drone Workshop, gaining hands-on exposure to drone technology and AI-driven applications.
Ask why something works, not just how to copy it.
Build a strong base before chasing complex tools.
Use projects to turn abstract ideas into something testable.
Treat feedback and mistakes as part of the engineering process.
I want to keep growing into an engineer who can understand a problem deeply and build thoughtful, reliable solutions.
HAVE AN IDEA, OPPORTUNITY OR A GOOD QUESTION?
I’m open to connecting with fellow students, developers, mentors and teams working on interesting ideas in AI, machine learning and software development.
